This is the story of Billy
Billy is a selfish man. Billy is putting his own world through absolute hell for his own mistakes. 8 Billion people die everyday horribly, just to wake up and live through it all over again. Billy is sitting on a sandy beach in Rhode Island. He’s been sitting ever since he got there. It’s been 20 long years and the only company he has is Milo, the only figure who can interact with him. They’ve been stuck on his beach for two decades, and Billy is brain dead. He’s physically fine, doesn’t look a day over 45. Neurologically, however, he has servere head trauma, constant brain hemorrhaging, and every bone in his body has been shattered to pieces. Does he dare move an inch, he’ll be battled with pain from head to toe. This is where he will stay for all of eternity if he gives up here. Billy has been working up something. Although Milo usually doesn’t negotiate, usually he doesn’t say a word or move an inch, but Billy has realized something. It took him twenty years due to lack of brain malfunction to realize Milo doesn’t NEED to torture the earth, just Billy. “Hey…..” Billy spouts out of the blue. Milo says nothing. “Take me…. Not them.” His words are slurred and spread out. He’s trying so hard to articulate the words to say this. “I’ll take… the tor……. Torture. Save everyone….. else..” Milo finally steps foreward. “Alright, here’s the new deal. You will go back home reborn, but no one will tolerate you. You will be universally hated for your existance. If you find a way to die, you’ll be reencarnated into yourself again. Time will reset back to the day you were born, and you’ll never see me again.” Billy tries hard to crack a smile. Finally, that’s all he wants to hear. “What would you like your new name to be?” Billy ponders for minutes. “…..Ethan…” “So be it.” Billy starts to flake way, like dust in the wind slowly. “Good luck, Ethan.”
