Nick makes his way to Boulder Station Casino is Las Vegas, Nevada. He hasn’t been there in almost 10 years. You see, Nick is almost fully healed from his crippling gambling addiction. Starting in 2007, he gambled his entire life away to anyone who offered. He once gambled his newborn daughter to a known cannibal over the 2006 Super Bowl. Nick used to shake and froth at the mouth when he did his daily rounds at the casino.
Today, on December 6th, 2017, Nick steps afoot in front of Boulder Station for the first time in a decade. He’s strong. He’s calm. He has his addiction advisor by his side. The advisor, Tim’s job, is to make sure Nick completes the task at hand to prove he’s cured: Walk in, play one game, walk out. Easy as that, 10 years of training will NOT go to waste and Nick is determined to make sure of that! Nothing will stop him now!
Nick steps foot into the Casino for the first time since 07. The bright lights and dazzling games don’t intrigue Nick. Nick and Tim walk over to the nearest Spin table. The attendant looks as bored as ever, with other lavish wealthy people at the table. Nick and Tim sit down in unison, as Nick slams 600,000 dollars cash on the table. “Bet it all on black” Nick says. Tim is in shock, this is not what they talked about at all. It was gonna be a small one dollar bet, that’s it. “Nick stop, that’s all of your life savings I don’t think that’s a good-“ “Tim, trust me. Whatever happens, happens.” Nick said, trying to reassure Tim he has his emotions under control. Tim backs off, still being weary. The attendant put the metal ball on the wheel. Tim looks at Nick. He’s calm, cool and collected. He looks at the other people at the table. The lavish men with their women ogling over their riches. The wheel spins. It’s a red and black blurry sphere. Everyone is staring at the marble wiz around the table. It lasts for about 5 seconds until it finally starts slowing down. As the wheel comes to a full stop, the marble makes its final rounds. It lands near #8, a black number. It’s teetering on the edge of 8 and 9. It almost perfect balances. Tim and Nick are eyeing it intensely. At last, it lands. It lands on 9.
At this moment, the lavish man at the table rejoices with his entourage. Tim looks over to Nick. His skin has turned completely red all over. He hasn’t moved, and has the biggest bulging veins ever on his neck, forehead, arms, hands, everywhere. Nick slowly, stands up on his feet away from the table, looking as angry as possible without changing your facial expression. Tim is scared.
In the next 0.5 seconds, Nick will spontaneously combust in the middle of the casino floor into a fiery violent explosion. He actually amassed his own humanoid solar flare. This solar flare has the unmatched power of the sun itself. In an instant, it whiplashes across the casino walls. One second passes. The casino has exploded and caused an earthquake across Nevada. Everyone inside of the casino is dead. Nick died last, and his death was the most horrible. His neck veins exploded, causing boiling hot blood to spray for Miles in all directions. Any bystanders who came into contact with it would immediately have their skin melted off horribly. Nick however would slowly have his skin and brain disintegrate and burn to ash. 10 seconds pass. 3/4ths of Las Vegas have been decimated to ask and rubble due to the earthquake. The casino site has been reduced to a smoldering hot crater.
